01 / THE COLLEGE
DY Patil Medical College, Pimpri: overview and MBBS seats
This guide covers the medical college at Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri, Pune 411018, Maharashtra. It is a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. When comparing offers, match this name and address with the institution shown in your counselling choices; other D. Y. Patil campuses have separate admission records and fee schedules.
The college lists 250 permitted and recognised MBBS seats per year. That is the institutional intake, not the number of vacancies in a particular counselling round. Round-specific availability comes from the MCC seat matrix. Official college website ↗ · Published intake ↗
University, affiliation and recognition
The degree-awarding institution is Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune; the medical college is its constituent teaching institution. The university’s letter dated 19 May 2026 continues affiliation for 250 MBBS seats in academic year 2026–27. This letter covers MBBS and must not be used as evidence of MD/MS specialty-wise permission. Read the session-specific affiliation letter.
Programme recognition, university accreditation and hospital or laboratory accreditation have different scopes. The college’s published course list is linked here for programme information; no university grade or hospital accreditation is presented as a guarantee of a particular student’s training or outcome.
02 / OFFICIAL FEE SCHEDULE
DY Patil Pune MBBS fees 2026–27
The college publishes the following amounts for its Pimpri MBBS programme. General and NRI amounts are shown separately; dollars are reproduced as listed by the college.
| Fee component | General | NRI |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition · annual | ₹29,00,000 | $50,000 |
| Caution deposit | ₹50,000 | ₹50,000 |
| Eligibility fee | ₹2,00,000 | $2,700 |
| Hostel · 3-seater, non-AC, with mess | ₹3,40,000 | $4,600 |
Source: Official MBBS fee structure 2026–27 ↗. Checked 25 September 2026.
The schedule applies course fees across four and a half years and states a six-month fifth instalment of ₹14,50,000. Phase I is payable at admission; subsequent phase payments are due within one month of the phase starting.
The table is not an all-inclusive degree price. The published hostel row does not explicitly state its billing period; confirm this, future revisions and deposit/refund terms before calculating a full-course budget.
How much is the published general-category tuition across the course?
The published schedule states fees for four and a half academic years and a six-month fifth instalment. On that basis, the general-category tuition calculation is 4 × ₹29,00,000 + ₹14,50,000 = ₹1,30,50,000 (₹1.305 crore). This is a calculation from the 2026–27 schedule, not a separate all-inclusive package quoted by the college.
Keep eligibility charges, the caution deposit, accommodation, mess and personal expenses outside that tuition subtotal. Do not multiply the hostel figure across the course until its billing period and revision terms are confirmed. For a side-by-side budget, use our college fee comparison guide.
03 / ACCOMMODATION
Hostel fees, room type and mess facilities
The 2026–27 fee sheet identifies a three-person, non-air-conditioned room with mess. It does not establish an AC-room tariff, single-room option or a compulsory-hostel condition. Ask the college for the allotment policy applicable to your batch, including availability and the payment period.
For a realistic family budget, keep travel, books, equipment and personal expenses separate from the amount in the hostel row. A useful written hostel confirmation should specify the room category, occupancy, mess coverage, security deposit and cancellation terms. This avoids comparing a shared room with an apparently similar price for a different facility.
MBBS ELIGIBILITY
Who can apply for MBBS at DY Patil Pune?
For NEET-UG 2026, the minimum age is 17 years by 31 December 2026, corresponding to birth on or before 31 December 2009. The NTA bulletin states that there is no upper age limit. Your qualifying examination must meet the applicable requirements for Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English, including practical and equivalence conditions where relevant.
Use your exact qualification code in Chapter 6 of the NEET-UG 2026 information bulletin. Additional-subject and equivalent-qualification cases need that code-specific assessment; a short college checklist cannot settle every education pathway.
NEET qualification and college allotment
Qualifying NEET is an eligibility step. Admission to this campus additionally requires the appropriate counselling application, a seat allotment and successful reporting. The college closing ranks below describe historical allotments; they are not the NEET qualifying threshold.
NRI applications
NRI applicants still need the applicable entrance and counselling route. The college’s 2026–27 reporting list distinguishes NRI, Indian-to-NRI, OCI and foreign-national documentation. It calls for status and relationship evidence according to the relevant claim, with sponsorship documents where applicable. Select a quota only when the required evidence supports it.
04 / ADMISSION ROUTE
MBBS admission process through NEET-UG and MCC
MBBS admission is based on NEET-UG and the applicable MCC deemed-university counselling process. Qualification in NEET makes a candidate eligible for consideration; it does not reserve a seat. Allotment depends on rank, submitted preferences, eligibility and availability in the round. Use MCC UG counselling ↗ for registration, notices and the live schedule.
- Check eligibility. Match your age, qualifying subjects, board qualification and category documents to the current NEET bulletin. See our MBBS eligibility guide for the dated official reference.
- Register for the correct counselling route. Complete the applicable MCC registration and payments within the notified window.
- Submit college choices. Identify the Pimpri institution and the correct seat category. Compare its full financial commitment before ordering preferences.
- Read the allotment result. Follow that round’s reporting, upgrade or exit conditions; rules and deadlines must be taken from the current notice.
- Complete college reporting. Present the required documents, complete verification and pay only against the official admission instructions.
Documents required for MBBS admission
The college’s reporting list dated 7 August 2026 asks selected candidates to bring originals, two sets of self-attested photocopies and scanned individual documents on a pen drive. Its core checklist includes:
- NEET-UG allotment letter, admit card and rank letter.
- Class 10 and 12 marksheets/pass certificates and date-of-birth certificate.
- Bonafide/character, migration and transfer certificates.
- Candidate and parent PAN/Aadhaar copies, with originals for verification.
- Medical fitness certificate and five passport-size colour photographs with a red background.
- Category, EWS, disability, gap, equivalence or NRI/OCI documents where applicable.
Use the complete 2026–27 college checklist for exact conditions and any subsequent revision. A missing conditional document can still affect reporting even when the basic certificates are ready.
Campus Mantra provides admission guidance. A counselling conversation or enquiry form is not an allotment, and payment to an adviser cannot substitute for the official admission process.
05 / NEET-UG CLOSING RANKS
DY Patil Pune MBBS cutoff: 2025 and 2026 closing ranks
The tables below show NEET-UG All India Rank (AIR) for MBBS at the Pimpri, Pune campus. Each closing rank is the highest numerical AIR found for that college, course and quota in the relevant round’s allotment column of MCC’s final result. Click a rank to open its official source page.
NEET-UG 2025 cutoff: Paid/Open and NRI quotas
Allotted seat category: Open in both columns. “Deemed/Paid Seats Quota” and “Non-Resident Indian” are the quota names used in the 2025 results.
| Counselling round | Deemed/Paid · Open | NRI · Open |
|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | 3,95,628 ↗ | 8,75,578 ↗ |
| Round 2 | 4,39,258 ↗ | 10,95,766 ↗ |
| Round 3 | 5,25,844 ↗ | 10,95,766 ↗ |

NRI priority matters: the Round 1 NRI closing entry is marked Priority 1. The closing entries for Round 2, Round 3, stray and special-stray are marked Priority 2. These are overall NRI-quota closing ranks, not a separate eligibility threshold for every NRI applicant.
NEET-UG 2026 Round 2 closing rank
MCC’s final Round 2 result dated 12 September 2026 uses the quota label Self-Financed Merit Seat. The figure below is a round-specific result, not the final cutoff for the entire 2026 admission cycle.
| Quota | Allotted category | Closing AIR |
|---|---|---|
| Self-Financed Merit Seat | Open | 4,61,934 ↗ |
No matching Pimpri MBBS NRI allotment was found in the Round 2 allotment column of this result. This does not establish zero NRI seats or a zero cutoff. A final Round 1 cutoff has not been independently verified for this guide; later-round numbers are not presented as published results.
An OBC or SC candidate can receive an Open seat. Those candidate labels do not create separate OBC/SC closing cutoffs in these Open-seat tables. Read the allotted quota and category columns together.
How to compare closing ranks and NEET qualifying cutoffs
A lower numerical AIR represents a better rank. These figures describe allotments, not confirmed joining, admission guarantees or NEET qualifying marks. The results do not provide a reliable marks conversion, so no score estimate is attached. Compare the same campus, course, quota and round when using historical data.
For Round 2 and Round 3, earlier-round college entries were excluded: only the result column for the named round was used. Navi Mumbai, Kolhapur and the Ambi/Taluka Maval campus are excluded. Check the current MCC notices for subsequent revisions.
06 / ACADEMIC OPTIONS
MBBS course duration and internship
MBBS combines the academic programme with compulsory rotating medical internship. The conventional pathway is four and a half academic years plus a twelve-month internship, subject to completion requirements. The college’s fee schedule addresses the academic fee period; it should not be read as the complete training duration. NMC graduate education regulations ↗ · Current NMC regulations and curriculum ↗

What you study during MBBS
The NMC competency-based undergraduate curriculum begins with Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry and progresses into subjects such as Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology. These build the foundation for understanding the body, disease processes and medicines. Clinical learning connects that knowledge with patient assessment and supervised practical skills.
The wider programme includes medical and surgical disciplines, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, community medicine and allied subjects. Professional communication, ethics and clinical skills form part of medical training alongside written examinations. This is a national curriculum overview, not a claim about the college’s current weekly timetable. NMC CBME curriculum reference.
Academic study and internship are separate stages
The four-and-a-half-year academic period is followed by the compulsory rotating internship. Passing the final examination does not itself complete internship or establish unrestricted eligibility to practise. Graduation, internship and medical registration requirements must each be met under the applicable rules.
07 / STUDY & CAREERS
Campus facilities, library and clinical training
The college describes lecture and examination halls, laboratories, subject museums and a central research laboratory. Its central library includes student and faculty reading facilities, departmental libraries and Wi-Fi access. The associated hospital and clinical departments are important parts of the medical learning environment. College infrastructure ↗
During a campus visit, spend time on the facilities relevant to MBBS training: teaching spaces, library access, skills practice and clinical posting arrangements.
MBBS internship, stipend and career information
The college’s Dean-signed 2025–26 stipend statement lists ₹18,000 per month for MBBS interns. This historical figure applies to that academic year; it is not a promise of the rate payable when a new 2026–27 entrant reaches internship. Official internship stipend statement, checked 28 September 2026.
Internship completion, registration, clinical experience and postgraduate preparation are more relevant to this MBBS guide than a generic placement-package headline. No placement percentage or guaranteed salary is claimed.
Ask for the written stipend order applicable to your batch and programme if it affects affordability. Keep internship income separate from tuition calculations until the amount, eligibility and payment terms are confirmed.
Teaching hospital and clinical facilities
The college’s hospital page lists 2,011 total beds, including 1,642 teaching beds, alongside 32 operation theatres, imaging services, a central clinical laboratory and urban and rural health training centres. These are institutional facilities reported by the college, checked 28 September 2026; bed capacity does not measure attendance, case exposure or procedures performed by an individual trainee.
