Which institution does this guide cover?

PES Modern College of Engineering, CET Cell code 06139, is autonomous and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The college is in Shivajinagar. The word Modern also appears in Modern Education Society’s Wadia College, but these are separate institutions with different codes and fee schedules.

Eligibility and admission process

For the usual first-year PCM route in the 2026–27 state brochure, Maharashtra candidates need Physics and Mathematics with an allowed third subject, 45% in the specified subject group (40% for eligible Maharashtra reserved/EWS/PwD candidates), and a non-zero PCM MHT-CET score. All India candidature has separate rules and gives preference to a positive JEE Main score. These eligibility conditions do not guarantee allotment.

The standard first-year engineering programme is four years. Diploma/lateral-entry applicants must use the separate direct-second-year process; the first-year intake and cutoff tables below do not describe DSE seats.

1. Register for the relevant CET Cell admission process and complete document scrutiny.
2. Check the final merit status, candidature and eligible seat categories.
3. Enter exact branch choice codes in your preferred order.
4. Follow the applicable round’s acceptance and reporting rules after allotment.
5. Use a separate institute notification for any authorised Institute Level or against-CAP-vacancy process; an enquiry is not an allotment.

As checked on 30 September 2026, the official 2026–27 engineering portal says admissions are closed. The figures here are reference data for that session, not a claim that applications or seats are currently available.

This is the college’s 2026–27 first-year B.Tech Open-category tuition/development table, not an all-inclusive four-year cost. Hostel, mess, deposits and other compulsory charges are not established as included. Category concessions on the source page depend on eligibility and documents; they are not unconditional discounts.

Curriculum and campus comparison

The college lists seven four-year B.Tech programmes for 2026–27. Computer Engineering, CSE and CSE (AI & Data Science) are distinct entries; Electronics & Computer Engineering is also separate from E&TC. When shortlisting, compare the semester syllabus and laboratory requirements of the exact programme, particularly the newly introduced computing courses.

Placement evidence and reporting scope

PES Modern’s placement-cell overview explicitly discusses Engineering, MBA and MCA together. It describes technical and soft-skills preparation and recruitment facilities, but that combined description is not a B.Tech branch placement rate. The newly introduced 2026–27 computing courses must not inherit a salary claim from older departments or postgraduate programmes.
